This Monterey Colonial Residence is located on a private street in an upscale community of older homes built in the 1920s to 1930s. In 2004 Glen Hampton garden designs was contracted to revamp the existing front and rear gardens. Landscape Designer Glen Hampton added wing walls and pilasters topped with classic urns with arranged plantings to frame the existing pedestrian entry walk. The entry courtyard was replanted with a colorful palette of plants that bloom throughout the year in this climate. A fern garden in the side yard leads to the rear garden. A fountain was designed as the focal point of the rear garden lawn area. It holds a bronze sculpture, which was commissioned by the client's grandmother in the early part of the twentieth century. The existing pool area at the rear of the estate was replanted in the same colorful palette used in the front garden. New garden lighting for evening entertaining was installed throughout the property. ![]() ALL CONTENT on this Site Copyright Protected ALL IMAGES on this Site Copyright Protected or images found on this site...
