Knollview Estate Encino, California 2004:
Knollview was conceived in 1929 as a twenty-three acre country home for a wealthy Los Angeles family in the community that came to be known as Encino. Located on one of the numerous south knolls of the San Fernando Valley with sweeping views to the northwest the property contained forests of California Live Oak Trees.
The current owners purchased the property in the late 1990's. At that time the small English Style Hall was in bad repair and none of the original gardens remained. The estate had been reduced in size to four acres... But still retained over one-hundred of the original California Live Oaks.
Thus began a five year Creative Collaboration between Clients, Architect Daniel C. Lawrence, Robin Hallford of Nuewood Construction, and Landscape Designer Glen Hampton to expand the residence and establish the lush English Gardens at Knollview as they appear today.
